My friend Mike did give me another tip about this he said "It also depends on the scanner settings too, but you might try a method I mentioned to another artist awhile back - which is to put a piece of plastic(different kinds render different results) between the art and the glass, it diffuses the light that's scanned but be sure all pieces are firmly flat on the scanner bed when scanned" He did say that this worked well for his friend

It might be worth trying, although on my screen the greys look fine, cute picture. Why is it that kids develop a sense of adventure before a sense of fear lol!
