loopy shots and pills...update!

okay,
since I was sent home from work Saturday, and told to go to the doctor
(with the very implied threat of losing my job),
I finally went to urgent care.

(Not an easy thing mind you, I couldn't go where I wanted to , because my "Obamacare" coverage wouldn't let me.
so, I drove 15 miles out of the city to get to an urgent care clinic.
Stupid. But they sent me there instead.)

Anyway, exactly what I expected.
'yep, it's likely a kidney stone, and yep, you've pulled a muscle really good'.
'Go see a doctor, we don't have what we need to treat you correctly.'

Luckily, they gave me a shot of Torodol,
and I got some Vicodin and antibiotics (just in case of infection) for free.
and off I was sent.

Sadly, the torodol shot, while it helped (it made me loopy and semi-pain free (on the right side), it wore off too quickly.
-under 4 hours-  and I'm still throbbing in pain on my left side. (where the stones and pull are.)

and tomorrow, it's back to work early.
ugh.
but today/tonight, I'm loopy from the shot and antibiotic (it causes dizziness).

I really hope the 'happy pills' do their job tomorrow, and numb the pain away.

I doubt it however.
(dosage isn't high enough)



UPDATE:

morning now, and OH YES, ...VERY dizzy loopy now.
It's going to be very interesting trying to drive this morning...
